Janelle Monáe, adorned in flowers and with champagne in hand, took center stage at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, Georgia on October 6, 2023.
Monáe, with ties to Atlanta, was touring to promote her latest album, ‘The Age of Pleasure,’ with opening act and TikTok sensation Flyana Boss.
Their latest album explores themes of sensuality, black queerness, and celebration. With subliminal jazz and reggae beats that smoothly transition from one song to the next, there’s an atmosphere to these songs as if you’re at a party with Monáe, and she’s your hype-person.
‘The Age of Pleasure’ has also been nominated for two Grammy Awards including, Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B Album. As well as a Soul Train Music Award for Album of the Year!
